Today was Saturday, and it was a pretty nice start to the weekend. David took Hardy and I to a city called Heidelberg and we explored it along with some others. It was a clean and small city and some of the alleyways were really interesting and cool. We went to a castle which was ok but the views were very nice. I had schnitzel for the first time and it really wasn’t as good as I thought it was, or maybe the restaurant was just bad. We then drove back and David and I played some tennis. He is pretty good for someone who rarely plays and we were able to rally and play a few points. It was a good exercise and a good session of tennis so I don’t completely lose all my skills after this 10 day trip. Tomorrow we will go to mini golf and watch the world cup game with Germany at Valentin’s house.
Today was Sunday and it was a fun day. We both slept in and David and I played some PS4 in the morning and some soccer and basketball later. He is pretty good at soccer and he taught me how to juggle. I taught him a bit about basketball and shooting. We had lunch at a “biergarten,” and the food was very delicious. I tried “handkäse” and it was surprisingly good even though it looked weird. I had a nice pasta dish which was very good. We then went to another biergarten and we watched the Germany world cup match with the other exchange students. It was very fun and interesting seeing many people come together to watch a sports game. It was sort of like a super bowl party. That is pretty much a wrap to what we did Sunday. It was a very fun and eventful weekend.
